what you can't tell from here is that the paper used for the jacket on the hardcover edition of blink is so swank that i couldn't get over it enough to open the book for three days after i brought it home. i longed first to cover my walls with it, and then to make clothes out of it. sometimes i still pull it out every once in a while to run a reverent finger over its crossweave. (the inside is pretty fancy, as well. i hugged it frequently.) so while i'm sure bling is getting the job done, there's truly no substitute for an original.
